About Us
Our Purpose: The Filipino-Canadian Sports Association of B.C. is run and regulated by a Committee, whose members are volunteer resident of the community and headed by its President, is to be known as a non-profit organization in British Columbia dedicated to the moral and physical development of the youth of B.C. through participation in the Association’s various sports activities.
To encourage and foster young boys and girls and other interested individuals of British Columbia to participate in any recreational sports activities of the Association.
To develop and sharpen athletically talented boys and girls and other interested individuals to their utmost abilities.
To promote brotherhood and camaraderie among members as well as to enhance the image of the Association through participation in various areas of recreational sports in British Columbia.
To enhance the image of the Association through meetings, forums, recreational, cultural, educational, religious and civic activities.

Circa 1991 - Founders
Mr. Pan dela Cruz, Mr. Sergio Relova, Mr. Sonny Baterina, late Mr. Prose Paraiso, Mr. Teddy Gonzales, Mr. Albert Barcelon, Mr. Boy Plan, Mr. Willy Durana, late Mr. Archie Jubillo, Mr. Pete Melanio, Mr. Edwin Abshire, Mr. Chito Ilano
Objective:
The idea was conceived by Mr. Pan de la Cruz to have an organized sports league for young school boys and girls of Filipino heritage, which is basketball. Wherein the sons and daughters of the founding members could play as well as the Filipino community boys and girls can spend their weekends playing basketball, have the weekend exercise and do something better rather than roaming around the shopping malls.
